Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Serros (Pty) Ltd ("Serros", "we") collects and uses personal information through www.serros.co.za, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

• Information you give us: your name, work email, company, website, phone number and the details you include when you complete the contact form or email us.
• Technical information: standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.
• Campaign information: if you accept non-essential cookies, we keep campaign tags (UTM parameters) from the link you used to reach us for the length of your visit and include them with any enquiry you send.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide the services you request, understand how visitors find us and keep the website secure. We do not sell your personal information or use it for automated decision making.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not set tracking cookies. It stores a few preferences in your browser: your light or dark mode choice, your cookie choice and the time of your last form submission (to prevent duplicates). Campaign tags are stored only for your current session and only if you accept. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, such as our hosting and email providers. They may process information only on our instructions. We will disclose information if the law requires it.

Cross-border transfers

Some providers may store information outside South Africa. Where this happens we make sure the recipient is bound by laws or agreements that give a level of protection comparable to POPIA.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and manage any resulting relationship, and no longer than the law allows. Information from enquiries that do not lead to work is deleted within 24 months.

Security

We protect personal information with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and security monitoring.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, email privacy@serros.co.za. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
